Formerly Edith & Daha -- the other half split off with her own store just a few blocks away-Edith Machinist is no secret to the vintage-loving gamines of the Lower East Side. Shoes line every wooden plank, and handbags are just as plentifully stocked on shelves above. Rolling racks are curated with the kind of vintage you find at estate sales: pristine trenchcoats, silk tie-neck blouses, and a-line frocks. Go when you're brooding and have your feelings validated with Italian day heels, shoulder pads, and Nico on the stereo.
