El Cholo

Editorial Review

Those who like fatty, passable Mexican go here, like R.P. McMurphy, Jack Torrance, and the Joker himself. Cadillac margaritas cause wing flapping and "nit-nit-nits" galore. Waitresses wear super-cute traditional outfits while we rock our beaters, Dickies, Nike Cortez and Guadalupe tattoos with "elbows up, side-to-side." Los Angeles has Mexican pride, but El Cholo can feel a tad like a Homie doll trying to fit a caricature. Order the #4 combo (two beef enchiladas).
