We don't necessarily like feeling like we're the master of our own colonial grounds, but...okay, fuck it! You better believe we get off on strolling 50 acres of manicured garden until we get to possibly the softest, smoothest beach we've ever called our own. Mandarin Oriental's grand entry just outside of Bermuda's capital town is stately in a light yellow and clean white coat. Private spa treatment suites stare at the azure sea as recently renovated rooms and cottages look handsome and restrained, decked out with fireplaces, balconies, and garden or ocean views. Water sports, tennis courts, a putting green, a free-form pool, and four exceptional restaurants. Wild boar with black truffles at The Seahorse Grill makes us happily divert from the incredible pan-seared scallops. Catch us smoking cigars and scarfing down mojitos at The Veranda Bar, preferably not alone. Constant appearence of seahorse in top-hat making us certain we're drinking too much rum.
