Good news for you perpetually broke party people: 30 fun-tickets gets you clean sheets and nightly rooftop parties at new Elements Hotel. If you’re young, hip and hurting for money, this is your crib. Part nightclub, part hostel, part hotel, part art gallery, all good. It’s sorta like living in the dorms again, but no RA this time. Even their restaurant Medjool is one of the hottest eat/dance places in the city.

You'll be sorry if you stay here. I know I was.

I reserved a double room consisting of a queen size bed for 2 nights. When I arrived, I was given a room consisting of twin bunk beds. I was not told about the change to my room and only found out when I went to the room. Also, the room had a broken television, broken telephone, a tampered with smoke detector, and broken bathroom door. I attempted to speak with someone at the reception desk or a manager about the state of the room but the reception desk was unstaffed and nobody could be located. I stayed in the room for one night only and checked out in the morning because my room was not changed. I was told by “George” at the reception desk that I would have to speak with a manager if I wanted a refund but he was not there. I was told to call back in the afternoon. I attempted to call back three times. The fist time I was hung up on. The second time I left a message on the manager's answering machine. The third time I left a message with the receptionist. Nobody ever called me back.

For the price you can not get nicer ...I stayed in an all female room w/4 bunk beds on the 3rd floor and it had a very clean, newly glass mosaic tiled private bath. The carpets were hotel quality and new and the paint was modern colors, very fresh and vibrant in yellow and aqua. I didn't even feel it was a hostel...I stayed a week and only shared the room 3 times with one other female...bring your own laptop though because internet access is limited to 3 computers in the hallway. Free coffee and pastries in the morning and plenty of hot water for your showers. At $27/night it was a GREAT DEAL!!!
