Rustic Northern Italian goes way upscale on East Hyman Avenue. Cuisine inspired by the town of Valtellina, a stone's throw from Switzerland, means plenty of fine cheeses and wines made from Nebbiolo grapes. Starters include über-decadent ahi and crab terrine, seared wagyu beef with cauliflower puree and black truffle aioli. Rustic mains pair Colorado Lamb with butternut squash risotto, ribeye with fingerling potatoes and chanterelle mushroom sauce, mahi-mahi with fennel and chorizo. Creative cocktails and boffo wine list almost overshadowed by lovingly-curated beer list, which is heavy on new American brews like Russian River 'Damnation' from California and Boulevard 'Tank 7' from Missouri. A worthy splurge.
