Ian Chalermkittichai (as in Kittichai) joined forces with publicity-shy chef Todd English for upscale Asian BBQ. English is gone now, and the ship is gradually tightening up. Lacquered duck, chocolate ribs, enough pork belly to satisfy an army of Mortimer Dukes. Embers theme in action in open kitchen, built around clay, stone, and volcanic-rock hearth. Lounge feel to bi-level space, with dim lighting from dangling fixtures, ceiling made up of thousands of gilded Chinese bells.
