Encore opened when the specialty martini craze reached its peak in the late 1990s. Unfortunately, it still feels like a 1990s lounge with an outdated setting of velvety lounge furniture, crappy music and patrons who looked like they stepped out of a lost Seinfeld episode. The only saving grace of the place, which is located inside the Allegro Hotel, is that it's convenient to check out right before a performance at the Cadillac Palace Theatre.
