We admire the flickering pink neon sign with the Old English lettering more for what it promises than what it delivers. What seems at first glance to be a shabby-chic hipster supper club is really just another multi-level, lite-beer, flat-panel orgy of sensible khaki pants and striped button-downs letting loose after a long day pushing numbers around on spreadsheets, or thumbing msgs into Blkbrries, or whatever it is those guys do from 9 to 5. Given that the UK is renowned for having the worst food in the world, English does a great job with the menu (including Newcastle battered vidalia onion rings and a black-pudding-free English breakfast).
