There's no posing or pretension here–they only took down the macramé owl recently. With both a hotel and hospital nearby, it's a friendly, older crowd, reminiscent of a sitcom set in a bar, with less budget for sets. But booze is cheapish and the music is often terrific, especially the jazz jam on Thursdays from 6 to 9. Watch pantsuited cougars squirm in their seats. But beware, sonny–they bite.
