We don't subscribe to the notion that shopping at independent bookstores is a virtue in and of itself, but roaming this bookstore's tiny aisles, on the first floor of the building where William Faulkner wrote his early novels, certainly is. Local literature and non-fiction is the focus, so any Louisiana itch you may have will get scratched here. It also stocks first editions and other collector's items, but the friendly and knowledgeable staff knows how much they're worth, and charge accordingly.
