Editorial Review

You don't have to look or play the part to unwind in London's first ever gay and lesbian coffee shop. This cafe-bar hybrid is surpisingly quite mellow and subdued - a rare thing in W1. In fact, the rainbow painted wood panels of the 19th century building it's housed in are about the only things that are loud and proud. Upstairs, the cafe's menu changes daily, turning out innovative, home-style vegetarian dishes to gay and gay-friendly regulars who just want alittle peace and quiet to read a novel or gaze at the regularly held art exhibitions showcasing up-and-coming and established LGBT artists. Downstairs, the cozy bar ups the party anty, offering inexpensive drinks, music, and dancing. Whether tea or whisky is your poison of choice, First Out is proud to serve it.
