Fontaine's Oyster House

Packs of buddies tossing back beers, couples attacking mounds of half shells and lone shucksters appreciating the art of the oyster all have a home at Fontaine’s. A gloved shell-shucking employee holds court behind a circular bar. Most oysters hail from the Gulf of Mexico, but pony up a little extra for Connecticut bluepoints or other specialties. Or simply preside over a pint at the booze bar, its yellow globe lights dangling from above.
