This is a classic French brasserie – right down to the black chalkboard menu and artsy photos of the River Seine adorning the walls. Owned by a former nightclub impresario, the attention to Parisien detail is superb, extending to a small deli at the entrance selling imported French wines and cheeses. The  menu du jour approach and dark wood floors and mirrored walls lend a genuine air of sophistication to one of Shanghai’s premier European restaurants.
