BlackBook Lowdown

It's too early to predict the fate of French Love, but all signs point to hot spot. Opened just weeks ago on a street off the Champs-Elysées, expect this bar to draw the same jet-setty crowd that follow behind everything the Costes team touch. This one features the resident DJ from Costes bar, glittering oddball decor, video games in the basement and a phone-booth fumoir. Pricey drinks and a discreet door complete the slightly predictable formula. Don't let the doorbell dissuade you - it's still relatively easy to get in.

Fantastic new Paris bar

Posted by tobiaswebb on Thursday, April 16, 2009

Went to French Love on Tuesday night, late and stayed a while. Loved the place. Friendly people, good drinks and interesting decor. They have British telephone box as a smoking room, with music coming from the handset, nice touch. Greg the owner/manager was super friendly and told us some other great places to go next time in Paris. And the best part: French Love is open late on the days when a lot of Paris is shut. Recommended for late night fun drinking spot!
