After the Galvin brothers' ‘Bistrot de Luxe' and ‘Galvin at Windows' comes a third new Galvin extravaganza: the gastrodome. Comprising of fine dining restaurant ‘La Chapelle,' an all day café and interconnecting aperitif bar. La Chapelle is housed ina wondrous 19th century, grade II listed, old hall near Spitalfields market. The dining hall is perfect with superbly converted old beams and period woodwork and typical gallic bistro style menu is a pleasure to discover. Roast Côte de boeuf, truffle macaroni and Hermitage jus is warmly recommendable along with slow cooked lamb shoulder. Selection of well-aged French farmhouse cheeses and very pleasing wine list should take satisfaction levels up one notch higher.
