Chef Jason Paskewitz (SushiSamba Rio, JP Chicago) has come back to Earth, or Lincoln Park, with a small neighborhood bistro after trying and failing to conquer Chicago with his past massive restaurants. Dressed in library-beige and dark wood, Gemini Bistro doesn't attempt to win you over with ceiling murals or wine rooms, but with what you want on your plate: perfectly executed, familiar dishes. The menu is seasonal, divided into small, medium, large or extra-large plates, and Paskewitz's skills shine with simple twists on simpler items like the Steak frites, duck confit nachos, crab cakes and the house burger on a pretzel bun.
