Genki Sushi

Editorial Review

Hawaiin behometh 'Genki' has toned down their screaming-Pokemon design scheme for this resto—dishes like Ahi Sashimi and Kinoko mushroom sushi glide along a wood-paneled conveyor belt on subtle Japanese ceramics. Place has provoked a Yelp.com fury ("good food!" " rotten service!" "so what? good food!") which is surprising considering Genki uses an idiot-proof, let-the-waiters-relax colored-plate system. A decent happy hour from 3-7PM offers $3 sake, specialty cocktals for $5.
