The Sutton Place Hotel's bar has seen plenty of celebrities, but anyone would feel like a VIP amidst such old-school elegance. Wine, whiskeys, traditional cocktails and bravura martinis like the fruity Flamingo are deftly served alongside upscale versions of pub fare, and while not cheap, it's a worthwhile splurge, especially if mummy (or sugar daddy) is paying.
