Mondays and Wednesdays: extraordinarily cheap drink and food promotion, drawing in the penny-pinching crowd. While Gordon Ramsay’s Verre sits across the hall, Glasshouse has established itself as an economical brassiere-cum-diner. With a famous competitor, service is prompt and educated. Proving not just a clever name, glass is certainly the dominant décor and drink theme. Plastic fruit on the bar adds a certain 1960's Italian bistro vibe. Rib-eye steak with fat chips remains a firm favourite while pan fried gnocchi followed by banoffe pie entices the notorious Dubai stone.
