Imagine Ruth Reichl opening a restaurant in New York, and then you'll understand something about the fawning media reception for this new Paris bistro. Run by Julien Fouin, the former editor of Régal (France's main cooking mag) and now at Cuisine TV, Glou has been showered with wet kisses by the French critics. Nepotism aside, Glou has a winning formula that combines traditional faves (boudin noir, Salers beef and pork belly) with a sparse and modern decor. Its prime northern Marais location doesn't hurt - steps away from the Picasso museum and hipster bar Le Perle. Closed Tuesday.
