Alfred, bring me my bat-fork! Chef Portale's destination is a reliable draw even over a quarter-century later (some things age well even without botulism injections). Clubby, square-columned interior with a fleet of Town Cars out front. Meticulous and lovingly twisted American food. Duck and foie gras terrine, miso cod, roast squab, succulent sides. Knowledgeable, friendly servers ensure it all goes smoothly.
