Hidden under the tracks of Bushwick's elevated subway line, is this gritty gathering meeting spot for bar flies and comic obssessives. Every surface is covered with comic book memorabilia; action figures hang from the tin-molded ceiling, cartoons are projected on the dark red walls. Past a pool table taking up nearly half the tiny bar, are a few high tables, one awkwardly small couch, and the bar, covered entirely with vintage comic strips. The crowd's a weird mix of semi-hood Spanish dudes, slightly overweight guys that come strictly for the atmosphere, and unpretentious hipsters. Hint: if you challenge the bartender to a game of pool, and win, he'll be pissed, but you drink for free.
