Lacking the chutzpah of the city's more youthful models; yet, like a moneyed old man, it has a certain (sometimes skeezy) charm. Golden checkbook being the lengthy stretch of white beach and clear cobalt sea located within its reach, and marina address guarantees cache. Rooms are chic in their conservative simplicity. Up-to-the minute amenities do the trick, but those tricks come at a hefty price. Popular with Brits, Europeans, and corporate brass alike.
