Tucked away in a somewhat desolate and foggy part of the Richmond, arguably the best Korean barbecue joint in the city is no secret to locals but undiscovered by the city at large. Bright, upbeat spot is a beacon in the mist, great for big group fun with built-in grills on each table – order big plates of spicy bulgogi (pork) or kalbi (short ribs) and get your protein on. Mix and match the meats with little plates of banchan – kimchee and pickled vegetables. Entrées are on-point, too, especially the savory jap chae noodles and a hearty bi bim bap in a stone bowl. Balance the spiciness with a few bottles of crisp, cold soju. Open until midnight, a rarity.
