Venice has never gone full-bore gentrified. Sure, some celebs dot the beach, but it's generally a rough and tumble kind of place. Can one hotel change years of slightly scary tradition? Hotel Erwin's patio restaurant seems to hope so, with their local vegetables and morning selection of endless Bloody Marys. Keeping our eyes on it.
