Marco Canora, late of the Craft-y Colicchio empire, brings heart-warming, refined Italian to a cozy corner of the East Village. Menu leans waist-conscious with snapper crudo and sardine apps, blue-foot chicken and zucchini raviolo mains, fried blueberry and peach ravioli for dessert. Prices trimmed on chef's tasting menu, making it a better deal than ever. Uptown food and service standard includes very non-hood sommelier and pastry chef. Wood and brick touches soften storefront space. Lacks actual hearth, but still.(Photo credit: David Vorhees)
