Editorial Review

A boulder through the back door (landslide!) forced a change of location, but the excellent Afghani cuisine served on white table clothes at bargain prices remains. Owner Mahmoud Karzai, brother of Afghan president Hamid, sure knows his pumpkin—the fried, then baked kaddo is not to be missed. Chicken and lamb kebabs are always a safe bet. Turkish coffee served tableside is fit for a warlord.
