True to its name, Basico keeps it simple and stylish. 15 rooms feature big windows, city and patio views, and all the modern luxuries: flat screen TV, pillow-top mattresses, and, uh, big inflatable inner tubes on the walls. Lobby doubles as an open-air juice shop (get your snorkeling fins here), while rooftop lounge offers a bar, two mini-pools, and deck chairs galore. Nighttime film screenings keep things artsy. Restaurant specializes in Veracruzan cuisine, which means plenty of fresh seafood. Perfect digs for those whose hostel days are a recent memory.
