Their “Painted Rooms” designed by international artists makes this hotel cum art gallery the best cheap crib in town. As a former Victorian boardinghouse things are bit cramped, but one spliff and let the magical mystery stay begin. Ideal location as well: two blocks from Union Square and at the front gate of Chinatown.
