Hôtel Duo

A family affair since 1918, the Hotel Duo received a face-lift in 2002 when Véronique Turmel tapped designer Jean-Philippe Nuel to update the 16th-century digs. After yet another recent refurbishing and renaming, the Duo retains its cozy-chic harmony of exposed beams, hardwood floors, earth-and-wine palette, and contemporary wenge furnishings. Favored by hip travelers and fashion folks, loving on the medieval-modern contrast, supercentral location (near the BHV), and reasonable prices. Best to book well in advance. €130-400.
