Not that Saint-Tropez has ever had a cultural Dark Age, but the sudden proliferation of designer hotels seems to suggest its newly elevated position on the fashion-go-round. The Sezz is a transplant from Paris' fashionable 16th arrondissement, and though the architects and designers haven't skimped on the glamour, the hotel is a decidedly more laid-back affair. Minimalist rooms and villas all have balconies with sea, park, and private garden views. In fact, there's little reason to leave the hotel, with a chic spa, restaurant, and, for those inclined toward exorbitant tippling, the in-house Le Bar by Dom Pérignon.
