Hounds conjure all the requisite imagery the shop hopes to suggest — hounds tooth, fox hunts, roaring fires — so in a way, the name is perfect, though the well-stocked furniture and design shop may be in the Southampton on the wrong side of the pond. Besides heavy leather easy chairs and country dining tables you'll find scented candles (which beg for the accompanying pewter snuffer, of course), loads of ceramic woodland creatures, pewter and glass tableware and vintage wicker fishing baskets. Basically everything the lord of the manner needs.
