Hoxton hotel landed with a bang on London Hotel scene back in 2006 with opening rate of £1 a night. Since then it may not have gotten any cheaper, but it has picked up Guardian and Observer Travel Awards for 2009. As one of the most stylish budget hotels in an eye-waterngly expensive city, it's not hard to see why: ‘hip-industrial' is so perfect for Shoreditch, with polished concrete floors and exposed brick walls, soft leather sofas and lofty lobby. Less than £200 per night which includes Frette bed linens, hot-water kettles, free milk and mineral water in the in-room refrigerator. You also get surprisingly good breakfast so you are sure to book again in a hurry.
