Kind of like a living room on an epic scale. Couches and communal tables fill brick-walled Hudson Hotel lobby that was once Hudson Hall. Beer garden gets elevated, with stylish exposed bulbs overhead, leather and dark wood accents. Built for the common man, at least as far as comfort food and good brews go. Burgers are char-broiled, fries are cooked in duck fat. Cocktails highlighted by spiked soda fountain classics, think root beer floats with rum, cream sodas with vodka. Taps say drink local, Sixpoint and Southampton in the mix. Bring the whole entourage—there’s room.
