Ocean chic is what it's all about at this it hotel on the shores of tawny Santa Monica. Clichés like oasis and seaside retreat come to mind. All true, but the Huntley's a little too-cool-for-school to use those terms. Yes, the 209-room hospice has the oceanfront views, soothing interiors with Venetian walls and all that blissfully oceanic stuff. But it's also a hot spot for West Side party people of the upscale variety. The Penthouse is where it's at. And wear white, even after Labor Day; you'll blend right in.
