Hyatt on the Bund

Opened in late 2007, this deluxe hotel from the Grand Hyatt stable occupies twin towers overlooking the Huangpu River. Located on the up-and-coming north Bund area, it sits next to the new Shanghai International Cruise Terminal. The vast lobby feels a bit like walking into a merchant bank HQ, but the rooms are well-equipped and offer superlative views. The restaurants, bars, spa and gym are all world-class – hence the upper range prices.
