Poor doesn’t mean pessimistic for this friendly, economical, well-located Accor chain member, another high-rise on Avenida Paulista with views that compete with those of nearby, pricier boutique hotels, within spitting distance of clubs on Rua Augusta—for those who don’t plan on doing too much sleeping here. Wood-floors make it as clean as it looks, beds are inviting, clever design accents like a bench and desk incorporated into a wall to save space and small flat-screen TVs keep rooms respectable, even if they are plain. Appealing downstairs restaurant is surprisingly complete.
