You know you've made it when MTV reality starlets bounce around your VIP room/restaurant in NYC. Okay, not really. But Il Bastardo has earned some street cred on the Chelsea scene, if only for the draw of a Hills-obsessed 20something crowd. Your average Italian fare here-a dozen choices of pasta, protein dishes running from duck breast to braised lamb shank to grilled snapper. Exposed brick walls, floor-to-ceiling sidewalk windows, and 40-foot bar invite both diners and drinkers to relax after work. Good perches for surveying Hollywood's D-list. VIP room downstairs hosts live music, long cushioned benches good for gawking local eye candy.
