Food-wise not the most memorable, but that doesn't dent Il Cantinori's popularity. Low-lit tables sport totally decent smoked salmon carpaccio and spinach gnocchi, accompanied by a solid wine list. Open-faced serenity on lovely stretch of 10th Street. Sit in the elevated patio and flaunt your good fortune while envious, stoned NYU kids saunter past en route to the dining hall. Flower-filled space, pollen-allergy sufferers should stay away.
