Inven.tory's first Nolita boutique cropped up in the summer of 2008, just before the economy tanked and all of Manhattan went 50% off retail. Luckily, their brilliant retail concept—emerging designers, wholesale prices—fit right in. Now they've opened a massive warehouse space in the periphery of their first flagship, and they don't seem to have a problem filling it. Designers who would rather not see their goods sitting in the bottom of some Century 21 bin and young, trendy folk who want to wear cool clothes but don't have the money to buy them are a dime a dozen in this town.
