Finnish designer Paola Ivana Suhonen brings her arty, edgy looks to Nolita. Family-run label dates back to 1998, but remains as current as ever (it’s the only Scandinavian brand ever invited to Paris Fashion Week). First U.S. store carries designer looks informed by white nights and long winters. Tends toward brighter colors, lux materials, cute prints. House atelier in Helsinki covers smaller production runs, the hand-knitting is done in Lapland.
