BlackBook Lowdown

Middle-aged cooler-than-thous scarf true finery. Foie-gras on huckleberries, $45 Maine lobster salad, yellowfish tuna tartare with goat cheese and hazelnuts and Kobe tenderloin tartare with quail eggs grace a rotating menu. Modern room of handsome conceit and changing silks. Appears like an impressionist painting, all pastels and soft light. Can be a quiet yawn, but Jaan is worth the silent self-contemplation for Southasian takes on Franco treats.
