Chef Nei Chia-Ji stands apart, serving up a steady stream of small plates of stylized Shanghai-style specialties. Dishes like velvet abalone and melt-in-your-mouth pork roast make this one of the best (and least know) Chinese restaurants in town. What he buys in the morning is on your prix-fixe menu at night. Nothing in terms of atmosphere, but trust us, you won’t even notice. Closed Thursdays. Even the Chinatown chefs eat here.
