Morose supper club where the beautiful sip calorie free soda, the en vogue measure up rivals and the City’s jazz cats’ bi-bop. Contrasting the décor of its surrounding Madinat fortress the bar is more befitting for a spot in New York’s Soho or Berlin’s Mitte area. Subdued lighting, abstract artwork and polished floors that only aid your funky footwork on the dance floor. When the live bands play any pretentions are spiralled away with the cool sax solos and trembling vocals.
