Jean Louis grew up in Normandy, France, near Utah Beach. Apparently, dude couldn't wait to get to the other Utah—at 16 he graduates from culinary school, high-tails it to Marrakesh, stints in the celebrated La Mammoudia, opens a string of well-received Chicago eateries, moves to Utah to helm the Sundance fleet of restaurants and then decides to stay in Park City for his kids. What that mouthful amounts to is some of the finest Continental/French cuisine in Park City, served to you by none other than a Cordon Bleu chef. Interior is metropolitan and modern, very linear—the tricks learned in New York and Chicago serve Jean Loius well. Just ask the celebreties: During Sundance, Jean-Louis' is a hotspot for sightings, if that's your thing.
