At first it was thought that this boutique thing, with its fixations on “exclusive” (read: small) rooms and “private” facilities was only a phase that JIA was responsible for importing into Hong Kong. But it turns out that this model can be perfected upon, if by designers other than Philippe Starck, and the opening of Lanson, W and Upper House brings the tally to four. But with its minor blemishes, JIA has loyal following as the original Hong Kong boutique. And it's pretty cool that guests get access to members-only clubs like Dragon-I, Halo, Volar and KEE Club.
