Jimmy’z Kitchen

Editorial Review

Chef Jimmy Carey has created a following with his charming, vibrant lunch café and “Mofongo Fridays.” He makes the oldest standby—tuna on multigrain—the most delicious tuna sandwich you’ll ever have, and the large lunch salads are made with fresh, local ingredients (seared tuna is delish). Everything that comes between two slices of bread arrives fresh off the panini press, and the soup of the day is delicious as well. Jimmy’z may be a hole in the wall—you can’t count on scoring one of the eight tables—but his weekly specials taste just as good on the fly.
