An exciting spot that raised the bar for the University Avenue strip of restaurants when it originally opened, may have lost that momentum but still a fun destination. The sumptuous interiors from Shopworks - design team behind the W Hotel - features natural woods and concrete, and a slick undulating bar that defines the space. The entradas on the Spanish & Latin-themed menu are quite good, especially the paella clasica, but it's more fun to compose a meal from small plates. We like the seared Spanish sausages, croquetas, ceviche and Mexican empanadas. Boisterous and loud on Friday and Saturday nights, nightclub atmosphere.
