The restaurant itself is a serene spot in the hub of the 'hood, with stained glass windows, Indian music and a courtyard with bubbling fountain. The hot buffet changes every day; nutoaf, enchiladas and collard greens are standouts on a menu that is consistently tasty. Regulars keep the palace pretty busy, and it's a place to run into people you know. Save room for dessert, which is included in the price--their selection of fruit and nut halvas is outstanding.
