Kamiya Bar

Editorial Review

Old-timer (circa 1880) near the historic Asakusa Kaminarimon shrine that’s held on fast with locals for more than a century. Place gets street cred for being the first Western Bar in Japan, as well as the home to the original brandy-based cocktail Denki Bran. Ignore the restaurant on the second and third floors: all that matters here are the cocktails, beer and pub fare on the first, if you don't mind the older, tobacco-smoking crowd.
